Congratulations to my beautiful Mummy who is having her incredible garden photographed for Highlife magazine. I’m so very proud of you Mum and I hope that you can put the stress aside and enjoy today.
I wish that I had some more photos of the entire garden, but here are a few of Mum’s pretty flowers and I’ll share some better pictures at a later date.

My day today looked a lot like this….
Uni is really kicking my butt at the moment so today I took it out into the sunshine, all in the name of hard work. There were apricot danishes, lots of coffee and a side serve of Foucault.
Some of my favourite foods are fresh fruits. Fresh fruits that are only available in summer or très ‘spensive this time of year. So lately I’ve been trying to track down some wintery fruits to satisfy my cravings. This was tonights dessert combo…
Kiwis and pear topped with organic vanilla yoghurt, deeelish!
In other news…
Some of my Mum’s beautiful roses chillin’ in the cool room.
Have a lovely weekend! -C x

There are few things that brighten up a room more than fresh flowers. I love the way they make a home feel alive, loved and lived in and they’re something I treat myself to regularly. Most of the time I buy them from farmers markets or florists but some I grow myself. Now I’m not much of a gardener, but even I can manage a posy of zinnias, dahlias or poppies to brighten up the bathroom sink.
My Mum is one very talented gardener (definitely not a genetic trait) who grows the most incredible (award winning!) roses on the property where she and my Dad live near Bollon, QLD. I don’t have many good photos of them, but take my word for it, they are stunningly beautiful.
